When an order reaches an Austin practice

In January 2026 the Austin-Travis County Emergency Operations Center activated under an Extreme Cold Warning, and City facilities closed to the public on Monday 26 January. We never pause a placed order. A carton already on the road stays in carrier hands until Austin streets thaw, which is why an Austin office planning an ice day off orders after its doors reopen.

Camp Mabry's normal high that month is 97.8°F, and the station saw 80 days reach triple digits during 2023, so a carton sitting on a dock or inside a parked van all afternoon burns off its dry ice fast. At delivery, the person the account names as signer opens the carton, looks for leftover dry ice, notes the arrival time alongside the lot code, then moves the vials straight into frozen storage. Following the manufacturer's guidance on handling, Austin stock is held at -20°C for extended storage, and a thawed vial goes to 4°C.

Austin Development Services hands out a certificate of occupancy once new construction or a significant renovation passes final inspection, and a temporary certificate may allow a commercial space to be occupied, stocked and furnished sooner. Round Rock is a separate city, mostly in Williamson County with a small area south along IH 35 in Travis County. Texas asks an unincorporated business to file its assumed name with the county clerk of each county where it keeps an office, so a Round Rock suite on the Williamson side files with the Williamson County Clerk rather than in Travis County. Dallas and Houston share the Texas lane with Austin but answer to their own counties and city codes, and each has its own page.
