Exosome supply for Houston and River Oaks practices
Licensed practices in Houston and River Oaks can order biomolecular signaling vesicles (exosomes) on a verified wholesale account; the material leaves Florida frozen and travels by carrier on the Texas lane into Harris County. Prescribers here may also send individual prescriptions to our 503A pharmacy partner. That pharmacy dispenses each compounded preparation itself and ships it from Texas.

When an order reaches a Houston or River Oaks practice
Frozen exosome material crosses from Florida on the Texas carrier lane and is due at a Houston suite within the window printed in the panel above. Compounded preparations move separately: the pharmacy partner works from each individual prescription, dispenses it and sends it from Texas to the clinic or the patient, by a method that depends on the formulation.
Houston OEM counts hurricane season from 1 June to 30 November, with August and September the busiest months, and the two commercial airports are where a Gulf storm bites first. During Harvey, the Houston Airport System closed Bush Intercontinental and Hobby to commercial flights on Sunday 27 August 2017 and reopened both at 4 p.m. on Wednesday 30 August, with limited service at first. When Beryl came ashore on 8 July 2024, the Bush Intercontinental sensor recorded a 72-knot gust and Hobby a 73-knot gust.
Street flooding can stop delivery vans for a morning without any named storm, and Houston TranStar maps high water on underpasses and streets as it happens. A placed order is not paused for weather. A parcel already moving sits in the carrier network until roads reopen, so a Houston practice planning to close ahead of a Gulf storm should order once its doors are open again.
Cold-chain receiving at a Houston or River Oaks address
With July highs of 94.5°F and August highs of 94.9°F at Bush Intercontinental, a shipper left on an unshaded Houston dock through the afternoon spends its dry ice fast. Power is the second check. After Beryl, NWS Houston reported heat indices of 100 to 106°F for several days while millions across the region had no electricity, and a freezer without current cannot keep -20°C. In the weeks after a storm, a practice confirms its building has power and its freezer is running before it orders.
The account names one person at the suite and the hours that person covers. They look for remaining dry ice, log when the box came in and which lot it carries, then put the vials in the freezer. The manufacturer's handling instructions set -20°C as the storage temperature, and 4°C for vials that have thawed.
Rules that apply to a Houston order
- The City of Houston requires a valid certificate of occupancy for every commercial building and every individual lease space, obtained before the space is occupied, and a change of occupancy classification needs approved plans, permits and a new certificate. A practice moving into a new Houston suite should hold that certificate before the suite goes on the account.
- Houston has no zoning, so the use allowed on a lot comes from its recorded deed restrictions, and City Ordinance 10-553 lets the City Attorney enforce residential versus commercial use. River Oaks was laid out in the 1920s under deed restrictions as a residential enclave that eventually banned all commercial traffic, so a practice serving the neighborhood takes delivery at a commercial building outside it.
- Texas does not require a general business license, and a practice trading under an assumed name files that certificate with the clerk of the county where it does business, here the Harris County Clerk.
- In a declared emergency, the City of Houston Office of Emergency Management directs instructions inside city limits, while the Harris County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management covers unincorporated Harris County and coordinates across it.
Areas near Houston and River Oaks on the same lane
Bellaire and West University Place are separate cities enclosed by Houston, and Sugar Land lies southwest in Fort Bend County; all three sit on the Texas lane with Houston's transit window, and a group can keep suites in each on a single account. Unlike Houston, Bellaire and West University Place have zoning ordinances and run their own occupancy process: Bellaire wants a certificate for every commercial tenant, and West University Place issues a commercial occupancy permit. Sugar Land addresses answer to the Fort Bend County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, so reopening after a storm there is decided by a different county office than in Harris County.
Preguntas sobre Houston and River Oaks
- Bush Intercontinental and Hobby are closing ahead of a Gulf storm. Where does an order bound for our Houston suite wait?
- Once placed, an order is not paused, so a Houston practice expecting to shut for a storm should wait and order after it reopens. A parcel already moving rests in the carrier network while the airports and roads are closed, and we follow it and phone the person named on the account. A box that arrives with its dry ice gone is replaced. Any other delay is reviewed for a refund, which turns on whether the vials were kept temperature-controlled throughout transit.
- Our building near the Texas Medical Center lost power after a hurricane. Should we still accept a delivery?
- Only once the freezer is running again. After Beryl in July 2024, millions of homes and businesses around Houston went without electricity for days in heat indices above 100°F, and a freezer without power cannot hold -20°C. Confirm power and freezer temperature first, send us the hours your staff are back at the desk, and then place the order.
- We have one suite in Houston and another in Bellaire. Does each need its own certificate of occupancy?
- Yes. Bellaire, a separate city, wants a certificate for each commercial tenant, and Houston wants one for every lease space it covers. Both suites can sit on one account on the Texas lane, and each delivery is logged against the address that signed for it, so tell us which city each address falls in when you add it.
