Exosome supply for Greenwich practices

A Greenwich practice may apply for an account for biomolecular signaling vesicles (exosomes) for topical aesthetic use, packed frozen in Florida and carried to its door, and should be prepared to provide the documentation required to purchase. Greenwich prescribers may also route individual prescriptions to our 503A pharmacy partner, whose compounded preparations are dispensed and shipped from Texas.

Delivery timing for a Greenwich practice

Frozen exosome material leaves Florida by carrier and reaches a Greenwich address inside the transit window shown in the panel above. Compounded preparations move on a separate track. Each compounded preparation is made to its own prescription and leaves Texas for the clinic or the patient. Because shipping differs by formulation, check a given preparation with us first.

Hurricane season in Greenwich begins on 1 June, and Greenwich Emergency Management sends storm notices through Greenwich Alerts; coastal flood warnings come from the National Weather Service. A shoreline office should look up its address on the Know Your Zone evacuation map before the season starts. A placed order leaves Florida as usual, and the carrier's tracking number shows where the carton is held. An office expecting to close should order after it reopens.

River flooding follows a different map. The Byram River carries a river flood risk for Greenwich and for the Village of Port Chester, New York, according to the Town's Byram River feasibility study page. An office close to the river should confirm its access after heavy rain before it accepts a delivery.

Receiving a frozen shipper at a Greenwich office

Westchester County Airport, the nearest NOAA normals station, logs 4.7 days at or above 90°F in an average July. A carton left at an unattended entrance on those afternoons loses dry ice faster. As the ice sublimates it gives off carbon dioxide, so the carton should be opened in a ventilated room.

Storm outages matter more than heat here. The Town's Power Outage Status page lists the utility's order of work after a storm. Public safety calls come first, then blocked roads and critical facilities such as hospitals, and only then the circuits serving most customers. A private office comes after all of those, so a practice should know where it can move vials if its own freezer loses power. The named signer checks for remaining dry ice and writes down the arrival time and lot number. Vials go to -20°C long term, or 4°C once thawed, following the manufacturer's handling instructions. A replacement or refund request is read against those records.

Greenwich permits that bear on an order

  • The Greenwich Zoning Enforcement office at 101 Field Point Road reviews every zoning permit application, and some licensed trade permits, for compliance with the Town's Building Zone Regulations before the Division of Building Inspection accepts it. Ask the Zoning Enforcement office whether a change in how a suite is used needs zoning review before the building application is filed.
  • A Greenwich certificate of occupancy is issued only after every field inspection passes and the Zoning Enforcement Officer certifies zoning compliance. In any building other than a one or two family house, the Fire Marshal's inspectors also sign off, and the certificate is then printed and mailed to the permittee. A new Greenwich suite should not be listed as a delivery address until that certificate is in hand.
  • During a declared emergency, Town notices go out through Greenwich Alerts, which anyone can join by texting Greenwich to 888-777. The signer named on the account should enroll for the practice address.

Federal and Connecticut rules for an order

Neighbors of Greenwich under other offices

Stamford, on the eastern town line, keeps its own building department and emergency notices, and a Stamford suite is covered on our Fairfield County page. Port Chester, across the New York line, follows New York law and Westchester County's emergency notification system. Greenwich Alerts and a Greenwich certificate of occupancy say nothing about an address there. Port Chester also shares the Byram River flood risk.

Greenwich questions

Our Greenwich office sits near the Byram River. What happens to a delivery after a heavy rain?
A placed order leaves Florida as usual. If the river is rising and your street may close, hold your order until it clears. A carton that cannot be handed over waits with the carrier. One that arrives with its dry ice gone is replaced, and other delays may be refunded depending on whether the material stayed temperature-controlled.
How can we check whether our Greenwich address is in a hurricane evacuation zone before we plan autumn deliveries?
Use the Town's Know Your Zone evacuation map, linked from the Greenwich Emergency Information page, and enroll in Greenwich Alerts for the practice address. If the office is inside a zone, order ahead of a forecast storm or after the office reopens. A placed order leaves Florida as usual.
We are turning a Greenwich retail space into a practice. When can it start taking frozen shipments?
Once the Division of Building Inspection has issued its certificate of occupancy. Zoning Enforcement confirms zoning compliance first, field inspections and the Fire Marshal follow, and the certificate is mailed after that. Until it arrives, the new suite should not be listed as a delivery address, so keep deliveries at your current one. Then add the suite and a named signer to the account, so each lot is logged against it.
