Exosome supply for Tucson practices
Tucson practices with a verified wholesale account order biomolecular signaling vesicles (exosomes) that ship frozen from Florida by carrier to Pima County addresses. Arizona prescribers can also send individual prescriptions to our pharmacy partner, which holds an Arizona nonresident pharmacy license and dispenses compounded preparations from Texas.

When an order reaches a Tucson practice
Exosome material leaves Florida frozen and reaches a Tucson suite on the Arizona carrier lane, within the transit window in the panel above. Compounded preparations are a separate parcel. The pharmacy partner fills each against one prescription and ships it from Texas to the clinic or the patient, and the method depends on the formulation, so ask us beforehand.
Summer storms are the Tucson delay. The National Weather Service office in Tucson counts 15 June through 30 September as the monsoon, and the City runs Operation Splash from 15 June through mid-September. Each season its Department of Transportation and Mobility stages barricades at dip crossings across the city and keeps crews on call to set them.
Crews may close a crossing before water arrives, working from National Weather Service radar and the Pima County Regional Flood Control District ALERT gauges. A driver whose route crosses a barricaded dip waits or detours, and the parcel stays with the carrier until the road reopens. A placed order is not paused for weather, so an office that shuts after a storm orders once it reopens.
Cold-chain receiving at a Tucson address
Tucson's hardest receiving month is June, before the storms arrive. Tucson International averages about 21 days of 100°F or more that month. July nights still hold a normal low of 76.3°F, so a shipper on a dock or porch keeps losing dry ice after dark.
NWS Tucson warns that monsoon power outages can be more widespread and last longer than the storm itself, so a suite freezer may be down when a box arrives. Before the vials go anywhere, the named signer opens the shipper in a ventilated room, confirms dry ice remains, and notes the arrival time and lot number. The vials then go to a freezer with power, and the material is kept at -20°C long term, 4°C once thawed, following the manufacturer's handling instructions.
Rules that apply to a Tucson order
- The City of Tucson requires a business license of businesses operating inside city limits. The application fee is $25 and the annual license fee is $50, prorated by quarter for a business that starts after March.
- Tucson's application asks for the business location address and does not accept a post office box for it. A practice run from a residence inside city limits also files the City's Home Occupation Form.
- Since January 2017, Tucson city privilege taxes are filed with the Arizona Department of Revenue under the city code TU. A Tucson practice with taxable sales holds that tax license as well as the City business license.
- Pima County's Office of Emergency Management, working with the Regional Flood Control District, sends MyAlerts flood notices to property addresses that are registered in burned watersheds.
Towns beside Tucson with their own licenses
Oro Valley and Marana receive on the same Arizona lane and transit window as Tucson, but a City of Tucson license does not cover either town. Oro Valley requires its own business license of anyone carrying on business within its boundaries, at $80 a year prorated by month. A home office there takes a Home Occupation License instead. Marana licenses any person or entity providing goods or services within the town, wherever the business is based, so a Tucson group serving Marana patients may need that license too.
Preguntas sobre Tucson
- Our Tucson clinic is reached across a dip crossing that floods in the monsoon. How should we plan deliveries?
- Watch the July and August forecasts and order for days without storms. City crews can barricade dip crossings before water arrives, and a carrier blocked by a barricade holds the parcel until the road reopens. Give us an alternate entrance if your building has one, and keep a named signer on site on delivery days.
- Our Tucson suite sits downstream of land burned in a wildfire. Should we register the address for Pima County MyAlerts before the monsoon?
- Registering is worth doing. Pima County sends MyAlerts flood notices to registered addresses in burned watersheds, and City crews may barricade dip crossings before water arrives. A notice gives the practice time to order around the storm, and a shipper whose dry ice has sublimated in a delay is replaced.
- We have offices in Tucson and Oro Valley. Do we need two business licenses before adding both addresses?
- Yes. The City of Tucson and the Town of Oro Valley each require their own license for business carried on within their boundaries, with different fees and forms. One wholesale account can hold both delivery addresses, each with its own named signer, and every lot is recorded against the site that received it.
