CuraCator applicator attached to a syringe

How the CuraCator works

The CuraCator locks onto any Luer-lock syringe up to 5 mL and works best with a 1 mL or 3 mL syringe. Instead of leaving the syringe as drops, product passes through its micro-channel head and spreads as a thin, even layer across the skin. Product can be drawn up through the CuraCator itself, so no needle is needed at any step, and PRP, exosome preparations, serums, gels and creams pass through without being altered.

Even dispersion
The micro-channel head spreads product across the treatment surface instead of releasing it as drops.
Luer-lock fit
Attaches to standard Luer-lock syringes up to 5 mL; 1 mL and 3 mL syringes give the most control.
Draw and apply
Aspirate directly through the CuraCator, then apply, with no needle anywhere in the workflow.
Sterile, single use
Each unit is individually packaged and sterilized by electron beam, with a five-year shelf life.

One applicator for every topical step

Practices use the CuraCator wherever a liquid, gel or cream needs to go onto the skin evenly and stay there.

  • PRP

Platelet-rich plasma comes from the patient's own blood draw, so every drop counts. The CuraCator spreads PRP in a thin layer across the treatment area during and after microneedling, in place of dripping it on and spreading it by hand.

  • Exosomes

Exosome preparations are supplied for topical aesthetic application to the skin. The CuraCator lays them down evenly across the treatment zone, so the product stays where it is placed.

  • Serums

Growth-factor serums, PDRN serums, hyaluronic acid and other professional serums go on as an even film, from vial to skin, through one sterile tip.

  • Post-microneedling topicals

Right after microneedling, when an even layer matters most, the CuraCator covers the treated area consistently without pooling in one spot.

  • Post-laser topicals

After fractional and resurfacing lasers, the CuraCator applies post-treatment topicals smoothly across freshly treated skin, without the pressure of spreading by hand.

More coverage from every mL

Drops pool, run toward the jawline and fall away from the treatment area. Every drop that runs off is product the practice paid for and the patient never received. The CuraCator turns the same volume into a thin, controlled layer, so more of each mL stays on the skin being treated.

Practices use that retained volume to cover the full treatment area more consistently, or to treat an additional area, such as the neck or the backs of the hands, from the same syringe, without drawing more product.

At $6.50 per unit in a box, down to $6.00 in a case, the applicator costs a small fraction of the biologic it helps place.

Measure it in your practice

Record the volume you draw for a standard full-face treatment with your current method, then with the CuraCator, and compare the area each one covers. Your own numbers are the best guide to what precision is worth in your workflow.

Needle-free by design

Dripping product from a needle keeps a sharp in the treatment field just to dispense a liquid. With PRP, that needle has been in contact with blood, and OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogens Standard does not allow contaminated needles to be bent, recapped or removed except in limited circumstances, and prohibits shearing or breaking them (29 CFR 1910.1030(d)(2)(vii)).

Taking a needle off to apply from the bare syringe tip is not a good substitute. An open Luer hub has no surface to spread the liquid, so product leaves it as heavy drops and runs, which is exactly the loss of control a precise procedure is designed to avoid.

The CuraCator is a non-sharp tip that locks onto the syringe. There is no needle to recap, remove or break, the connection stays sealed at the Luer lock, and product leaves only through the dispersing head.

OSHA, Bloodborne Pathogens Standard, 29 CFR 1910.1030(d)(2)(vii)

  • No sharps in the application step
  • Sealed Luer-lock connection
  • One sterile tip per patient
  • Discarded with the syringe under your practice's waste protocol

The CuraCator Clinical Method™

A physician-developed, step-by-step technique for applying biologics and topicals with the same sterile discipline as the rest of the procedure. It helps practices treat more of a patient's skin with each mL and keeps a sharp out of the application step, for procedures using exosomes, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), PDRN and other preparations that call for precise application because of their bioactivity, their biological origin or their handling requirements.

  1. Prepare

Perform hand hygiene, open the sterile pouch at the point of use and attach the CuraCator to a Luer-lock syringe without touching the tip.

  2. Draw

Aspirate the product directly through the CuraCator, so no needle enters the workflow.

  3. Apply

Hold the head just above the skin and work section by section, expressing slowly to lay down a thin, even layer across the treatment zone.

  4. Finish

Discard the CuraCator and syringe together after each patient, as a single-use device, following your practice's waste protocol for the material applied.

Placement you can plan

Topical biologics are meant for the skin being treated. Exosome products, for example, are supplied for topical aesthetic application to the skin, and a well-run procedure keeps them within that area.

Because the CuraCator lays product down as a thin film rather than a stream of drops, it helps keep each application inside the planned zone: clear of the eyes, nostrils and lips, and away from any area the clinician has chosen to leave untreated, such as a spot under evaluation. That control is what makes results consistent from one patient to the next.
