Exosome supply for Tampa practices

A Tampa practice cleared for wholesale purchasing may draw on biomolecular signaling vesicles (exosomes) supplied frozen out of Florida, which the carrier brings into Hillsborough County over the in-state route. Under section 465.0156 of the Florida Statutes the state has registered our 503A partner pharmacy to dispense into Florida from outside it, so Tampa prescribers may direct individual prescriptions there for compounding, dispensing and dispatch out of Texas.

Tampa delivery timing around Gasparilla and storm season

Exosome stock bound for Tampa ships frozen from Florida over the in-state route and reaches the suite inside the transit span the panel above lists. Gasparilla is the largest planned closure of the year. The 2027 Pirate Fest is on Saturday 30 January, with the Parade of Pirates running down Bayshore Boulevard. For the 2026 festival the city shut Bayshore from Gandy Boulevard to Platt Street from 10 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Sunday, and kept Kennedy Boulevard closed from Florida Avenue west to Hyde Park Avenue between 9 in the morning and 9 at night.

Storm season sets the rest of the calendar. Helene passed offshore in September 2024 and still drove the highest water on record into the bay. Less than two weeks later Milton came ashore at Siesta Key on the evening of 9 October; its winds blew offshore over Tampa Bay, keeping inundation there to one or two feet, but its rain pushed the Hillsborough River to record crests. Weather never pauses a placed order, and a carton the carrier has already collected waits in its network until Hillsborough County lifts its orders, so a Zone A or Zone B office orders after it has reopened.

Compounded preparations go on a separate track; the pharmacy partner dispatches each one from its Texas location directly to a Tampa clinic or to a patient's home, on a schedule of its own.

Tampa heat, rain and the cold-chain carton

For a dry ice shipper, August is the toughest month of the Tampa year. Tampa International averages a 91.2°F high and a 76.8°F night low then, and the afternoon storms that make it the wettest month can soak a carton set down at an open entrance. Carry the box into air conditioning, though not into a sealed storeroom, because a closed room collects the carbon dioxide that sublimating dry ice releases.

Put one named signer on the account, with the hours that signer can be found at the front desk. The signer opens the carton, checks for leftover dry ice, records the delivery time and the lot printed on the label, then moves the vials into the freezer without delay. Long storage is at -20°C and a thawed vial is held at 4°C, following the handling guidance the manufacturer issues. A Tampa delivery whose dry ice has fully sublimated is replaced; for a delay of another kind, the refund question comes down to whether the vials kept within their temperature range.

Local rules for a Tampa delivery address

  • Inside Tampa city limits a practice needs a City of Tampa Business Tax Receipt, issued under Chapter 24 of the City Code by the Business Tax Division of the Neighborhood Empowerment Department, which can also confirm whether a given address lies within those limits.
  • Every business located in Hillsborough County needs a county local business tax receipt, issued by the Hillsborough County Tax Collector, before opening its doors. The county's tax year begins each 1 October and closes the next 30 September, and a receipt first taken out between 1 April and 30 June is issued at the half-year rate.
  • Tampa's Construction Services requires every new building, and any building whose occupancy classification changes, to obtain a certificate of occupancy. Inspection Services issues it only after the building, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, gas, fire, transportation, landscaping and stormwater inspections have passed, so we list a suite reclassified for medical office use for deliveries only after that certificate has been issued.
  • For the 2026 hurricane season Hillsborough County widened Zone A in places and drew some neighborhoods into Zone E for the first time, so a Tampa office should look its address up again on HCFL.gov/HEAT instead of relying on an older map.

Federal and Florida rules for an order

Places across the bay and beside Tampa with their own rules

St. Petersburg and Clearwater, across the bay, share the Florida route with Tampa but sit in Pinellas County, which writes its own evacuation orders: ahead of Milton it sent Zones A, B and C out from 3 p.m. on 7 October 2024. An office within St. Petersburg city limits takes out that city's business tax receipt under Chapter 17 of its code, not Tampa's. Temple Terrace, on Tampa's northeast edge, is a separate city inside Hillsborough County; it issues a separate receipt of its own and, under section 14-59 of its code, expects it posted where it can be seen on the premises, while Hillsborough County still decides its storm closures. Practices with offices on both shores can hold all of them under one account, and our records tie each lot to the office that took delivery of it.

Tampa questions

Our South Tampa office faces Bayshore Boulevard. What happens to deliveries on Gasparilla weekend?
Plan on none that Saturday. For the 2026 Pirate Fest the city closed Bayshore from Gandy Boulevard to Platt Street from 10 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Sunday, and the 2027 festival falls on Saturday 30 January. Placing an order commits it, and we do not pause it for parade traffic, so aim for arrival earlier in the week or after the road reopens, and tell us what hours your signer keeps that Friday.
An evacuation order covers our Tampa suite in Hillsborough Zone A. Where does a shipment already on the road go?
A carton the carrier cannot deliver stays inside its network until county orders lift and the roads are open, while we watch its tracking and ring the signer listed on the account. Orders already placed are not paused, so a Zone A practice that will be closed reorders after reopening. If the carton finally arrives with the dry ice used up, a replacement goes out to you, and refunds for other late arrivals hinge on the vials having stayed inside their temperature range.
Do Tampa prescribers have a route for compounded prescriptions through the pharmacy partner?
Yes. Florida lists the partner as a registered out-of-state pharmacy under section 465.0156 of the Florida Statutes, so a prescriber at a Tampa practice can direct individual prescriptions to it. Each preparation is compounded and dispensed in Texas, then shipped to the practice or straight to the patient, never in the same box as an exosome order. Packaging and transit differ between formulations, so ask us about the specific preparation before writing the first one.

Exosome material is supplied for topical aesthetic use by licensed practitioners. No exosome product is FDA-approved to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Full regulatory notice.
