Exosome supply for Salt Lake City practices
A licensed practice in Salt Lake City with an approved wholesale account may buy biomolecular signaling vesicles (exosomes), packed on dry ice and carried to Salt Lake County on the Utah lane. Utah is among the places where our 503A pharmacy partner may dispense, so Salt Lake City prescribers can route single prescriptions to it as well; it compounds each one and dispatches it from Texas.

When an order reaches a Salt Lake City practice
Each carton ships frozen from Florida, packed with exosome material, then rides the Utah lane to Salt Lake City inside the arrival range listed above. Prescriptions take a separate path: the pharmacy partner compounds a preparation for a single named patient and posts it out of Texas, addressed either to the practice or to that patient, and packaging varies with the formulation, so ask about a given formulation ahead of its first prescription.
Pioneer Day closes streets across the city. For 24 July 2025, Salt Lake City police warned of significant and potentially lengthy closures for the Deseret News Marathon and the Days of '47 Parade, with some segments shut completely for several hours, and the 2026 parade stepped off downtown at 9 a.m. In 2027 the legal holiday moves to Friday 23 July.
Snowmelt is the spring risk. On 12 April 2023 Emigration Creek overflowed through Wasatch Hollow Park and down 1700 South and 1500 East. A parcel caught behind snow or high water sits with the carrier until the road opens, and an order once placed goes ahead, so a clinic that expects to close for weather buys after its doors open again.
Cold-chain receiving at a Salt Lake City address
July is the hard month for a Salt Lake City delivery. The airport station averages a 94.0°F high that month and reaches 90°F on about 24 of its days, so a carton parked on an unshaded dock, a building vestibule or the seat of a car burns through its dry ice quickly. Name a recipient who works inside an air-conditioned room and tell us which entrance the driver should use.
Unpack the carton in a ventilated space, since the gas leaving dry ice is carbon dioxide. Your recipient confirms a layer of dry ice remains, logs when the box came in and its lot, and transfers the vials to frozen storage. The manufacturer's handling sheet sets -20°C for stock held in reserve and 4°C after the vials thaw. Dry ice that has vanished before unpacking earns a replacement shipment; for other delays, any refund depends on the material having stayed within its temperature range.
Rules that apply to a Salt Lake City order
- Anyone engaging in business inside Salt Lake City limits must keep a valid city business license, and the Business Licensing office reviews every commercial license for zoning, building and fire code compliance. Applications go in online only, and the office closes on federal and Utah state holidays, Pioneer Day among them.
- Salt Lake City Building Services issues the certificate of occupancy that shows a space meets code. Before 2016 the city issued one only for a new building, so an older Salt Lake City suite may have none on file, which the city says is not in itself a code compliance problem. A suite with a fresh interior build-out goes on the account once its permits and inspections have closed.
- In a flood, storm or earthquake, Salt Lake City Emergency Management speaks for city streets and Salt Lake County Emergency Management for the wider county.
Cities bordering Salt Lake City with their own rules
South Salt Lake, Millcreek and Park City all ship on the Utah lane, yet none follows Salt Lake City licensing. South Salt Lake wants a separate business license at every location and renews them on 1 January east of 200 West, the TRAX line, and on 1 August west of it. Millcreek licenses its own businesses every year and notes that its license is separate from anything issued by the state through DOPL. Park City sits over the Wasatch in Summit County, where a business on unincorporated land licenses with the county.
Salt Lake City questions
- Our clinic is near the Days of '47 Parade route in downtown Salt Lake City. How should we plan around Pioneer Day?
- City police have warned of lengthy closures on Pioneer Day for the parade and the Deseret News Marathon, with parts of the route closed to all traffic for several hours. In 2027 the holiday is observed on Friday 23 July because 24 July lands on a Saturday. Aim for stock to arrive earlier that week, because placed orders go out as scheduled.
- Our suite is in South Salt Lake, just past the Salt Lake City line. Does that change our account?
- The lane and transit window stay the same, but South Salt Lake licenses each business location on its own and sets the renewal date by which side of 200 West the business sits on, so keep that license current for the suite you list. Both cities can sit on a single account, with each lot recorded under whichever suite took delivery.
- Snowmelt is flooding streets on the Salt Lake City east bench while our order is in transit. What happens?
- If a flooded street blocks the driver, the carrier holds the box until that street reopens, while we follow its tracking and phone the recipient on the account. Should the carton reach Salt Lake City with every dry ice pellet gone, a replacement goes out. For other delays, a refund hinges on the exosome material holding its temperature range in transit.
