Ahwatukee Foothills is a village inside the City of Phoenix, so Phoenix rules apply: no general business licence, a transaction privilege tax licence only for taxable sales, and a new certificate of occupancy if the suite changed use. A suite with a Tempe address also needs Tempe's General Business License. The carrier lane and transit window are identical at both addresses.

When an order reaches a Phoenix practice

Summer dust is the local weather delay. On 25 August 2025 a haboob swept across Phoenix and the FAA halted every arrival and departure at Sky Harbor for about an hour while wind damaged part of the Terminal 4 roof. A parcel stopped by a storm like that is kept by the carrier until the route reopens. We do not pause shipments because a Phoenix suite has closed, so an office that loses power after a monsoon storm places its next order once staff are back.

Cold-chain receiving at a Phoenix address

National Weather Service climate summaries show Sky Harbor reaching 110°F or above on 70 days in 2024 and on 37 days in 2025, and the station's warmest low on record is 97°F, first reached on 19 July 2023. Maricopa County runs its Heat Relief Network from 1 May to 30 September, and those are the months to be strict about who signs. Put one named person on the account along with the hours they work in the suite. When a box arrives, that person confirms dry ice is still present, notes the lot number and the time, and moves the vials straight into a freezer. Per the manufacturer's handling instructions, keep exosome material at -20°C for long-term storage and at 4°C after thawing.

Rules that apply to a Phoenix order

Phoenix issues no general business licence; the city licenses only a short list of regulated activities. A Phoenix practice that also sells taxable goods needs a transaction privilege tax licence, applied for through the Arizona Department of Revenue at AZTaxes.gov, with a $50 city fee due within 30 days of opening and renewed each 1 January.
A Phoenix certificate of occupancy stays with the property address even after a change of owner or tenant, but the Planning and Development Department policy says a new one must be established when the current use of the building or tenant space changes. Where that applies to a suite, the new certificate should be in hand before the suite is added to the account as a delivery address.
Phoenix City Code section 10-18 makes it unlawful to operate a massage establishment without a city licence. Its one exclusion covers a business where everyone offering massage is a licensed barber, aesthetician, cosmetologist or nail technician working within that licence, so a Phoenix medspa that offers massage should check the requirement before opening.
