Exosome supply for Philadelphia and Main Line practices
A wholesale account gives licensed practices in Philadelphia and along the Main Line access to biomolecular signaling vesicles (exosomes); that material ships frozen from Florida and is handed to a carrier for the Delaware Valley. Pennsylvania's State Board of Pharmacy has registered the 503A pharmacy partner we work with as a nonresident pharmacy, so Center City and Montgomery County prescribers alike may route an individual prescription to it. That partner compounds and dispenses the preparation, and its parcel leaves from Texas.

When an order reaches a Philadelphia or Main Line practice
Each frozen carton of exosome material travels up the Pennsylvania lane from Florida, landing at a Philadelphia suite on the schedule given in the transit row of the panel above. No compounded preparation is ever packed alongside it: the partner pharmacy prepares that prescription by itself and mails it out of Texas, addressed either to the practice or directly to its patient.
Snow causes most late arrivals. Mayor Parker declared a snow emergency from 9 p.m. on Saturday 24 January 2026, which bars parking on the city's posted Snow Emergency Routes, and on 25 January the airport cancelled 651 of its 672 scheduled flights while SEPTA halted Regional Rail and buses. A second emergency started on Sunday 22 February at 4 p.m., and City offices stayed shut the next day. A storm-bound parcel waits at carrier facilities until Philadelphia streets clear. We keep no hold button on a confirmed order, a practice expecting a snow day should wait and order once its doors open again.
Races close the other big corridors. The Broad Street Run on Sunday 3 May 2026 shut Broad Street from Olney Avenue to the Navy Yard in phases from 2 a.m., with the course expected to reopen by noon. The Philadelphia Marathon runs on Sunday 22 November 2026; in 2025 the city closed Main Street in Manayunk from 6 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the latest.
Cold-chain receiving at a Philadelphia address
In Center City the curb decides how long a driver can wait. The Philadelphia Parking Authority runs Smart Loading Zones at more than 50 Center City locations, where cameras time each vehicle: a carrier enrolled in CurbPass pays 10 cents a minute up to a sixty minute limit, and an unenrolled vehicle is fined $51 after three free minutes. A Rittenhouse or Logan Square office should therefore list a signer able to reach the lobby inside those three minutes, along with the door and floor.
July is the warm month here, the airport's normal high then being 87.8°F, so a carton cannot be left in a sunlit vestibule or in a closed mailroom, where sublimating dry ice adds carbon dioxide to the air. Whoever signs lifts the lid, confirms some dry ice is left, logs the lot and the time it came in, and transfers each vial to frozen storage. Following the handling instructions issued by the manufacturer, they are held at -20°C for months-long storage and moved to 4°C when thawed.
Rules that apply to a Philadelphia order
- Anyone doing business in Philadelphia, including a business based outside the city that works in it, needs a Commercial Activity License from the Department of Licenses and Inspections. It is free, never needs renewal, and is applied for through eCLIPSE once the practice has a Philadelphia tax account and a Business Income and Receipts Tax number.
- Every business active in the city files a Business Income and Receipts Tax return by 15 April for the prior year, whether or not it made a profit. For 2025 the rates were 1.410 mills on gross receipts and 5.71% on taxable net income.
- L&I attaches its certificate of occupancy to new construction, for alterations that affect exits or fire ratings, and for a change in the use of a space; a new tenant using a suite the same way does not need one. We add a converted Philadelphia suite to the delivery list only after any certificate it needs has been issued.
Main Line townships beside Philadelphia with their own rules
Ardmore, Bryn Mawr and Gladwyne sit in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County, which taxes service businesses at 1.5 mills of gross receipts, wants the annual return by 15 April and expects a newly opened business to file within 40 days. Radnor Township in Delaware County, whose offices are on Iven Avenue in Wayne, levies its business privilege tax at three mills with a $10 licence fee for each place of business. Neither township is covered by a Philadelphia licence, and ReadyPhiladelphia alerts speak only for city streets.
Philadelphia and the Main Line questions
- Our Rittenhouse Square office opens straight onto the sidewalk. Where does the courier stop with a frozen carton?
- Most often in one of the Parking Authority's Smart Loading Zones, which fine an unenrolled vehicle once three free minutes run out, so the handoff must be fast. Send us the street door, the floor and the name of someone who will meet the courier downstairs in your receiving window and carry the vials directly to a freezer.
- Our group is adding an Ardmore location on the Main Line. Does our Philadelphia licence cover it?
- No. Ardmore is in Lower Merion Township in Montgomery County, which runs its own business privilege tax and licence application, separate from the Commercial Activity License that Philadelphia issues. Each address can be listed on the same ExaVeyra account, and we record each lot under the site where it was signed for.
- Snow has stopped SEPTA and grounded flights at Philadelphia International while our order is moving. What happens to it?
- Your parcel remains in carrier custody while roads and routes are shut, while we follow its tracking and keep the contact on your account informed. Should the carton reach your Philadelphia suite with every pellet of dry ice gone, ExaVeyra sends a replacement. Refunds for slower deliveries hinge on one question: did the exosome material remain temperature-controlled from Florida to your door?
