Rules that apply to a Las Vegas order
- The business license follows the street address, not the mailing city. A Las Vegas address inside city limits is licensed by the City of Las Vegas, while one in unincorporated Clark County, including the Strip and Summerlin South, is licensed by the Clark County Department of Business License. - The City of Las Vegas tells applicants to confirm with Building and Safety that a suite's certificate of occupancy fits the intended use before signing the lease, so a newly leased downtown or Summerlin suite should not go on the account as a delivery address until that is settled.
- A group operating in more than one Southern Nevada jurisdiction may need a license from each one, according to the City of Las Vegas.
- Emergency orders split along the same line: the Clark County Office of Emergency Management covers unincorporated addresses, and the City of Las Vegas runs its own emergency management for addresses inside the city.
Areas near Las Vegas on the same lane
Henderson, North Las Vegas and Boulder City receive on the same Nevada lane and transit window as Las Vegas, yet each is a separate city with its own business license office, so a group adding a suite there applies to that city rather than to Las Vegas or the county. Paradise and Spring Valley, which hold most of the Strip and much of the southwest valley, are unincorporated towns that Clark County licenses even though their mail is addressed to Las Vegas.

- Summerlin South is unincorporated Clark County, so the county's Department of Business License issues the license there, while Summerlin addresses inside city limits go to the City of Las Vegas. The Southern Nevada jurisdiction locator answers it for a specific street address, and the account records the delivery address exactly as licensed.
- Will Grand Prix road closures around Koval Lane and Harmon Avenue stop a delivery to our Las Vegas suite?
- They can. In 2025 Clark County closed Koval Lane between Rochelle and Harmon avenues for ten days and closed the circuit roads each race afternoon, so carriers may not reach a suite inside the track on those days.
